Sunset Zoo is your summer learning destination! Our summer camps lead youth on an exciting exploration of the outdoors and the animal world. Youth ages 5-10 can join us for this WILD adventure for one week or all summer long. Class sizes are limited, so make sure you reserve your spots early! 

Fees and Times
Weekly Summer Camp Sessions start the week of May 28 and run through the week of August 5*. No camp on Memorial Day or the week of July 1. Parents can drop students off as early as 7:30am and pick them up as late as 12:15pm or 5:30pm. 

• All day sessions (8:00am - 5:00pm): $115/weekly session, FOSZ Members receive $10 off each session
• Half day sessions (8:00am - Noon): $85/weekly session, FOSZ Members receive $10 off each session

Registration & Payment Information 

• Open Registration (Fax, Phone, E-mail or In Person at Zoo): Monday, April 8 until classes fill.  See helpful documents section below for registration form, health/permission forms, a parent handbook and a helpful FAQ.
• Summer Camp Payment Policy: At time of enrollment, first session fee is due in full with a $20 non-refundable deposit to hold each additional session. Sessions must be paid in full within five working days prior to the first day of that camp session. No refunds or prorating for partially used session.

Overview of Camps
Animal Crackers Camp - 5 to 6 Years Old
High-energy activities interspersed with downtime every day. Activities include live animal interactions, themed tours of the Zoo, crafts, games and storytimes. Campers must be going into kindergarten.

Summer Safari Camp - 7 to 8 Years Old
Campers will engage in activities around the Zoo, crafts, stories, live animal interactions, themed Zoo tours, and take weekly field trips around Manhattan and beyond to further explore the weekly theme.  

Nature Navigators - 9 to 10 Years Old
Campers will explore their surroundings through nature hikes, Zoo tours, engaging projects, group games, live animal encounters, and field trips to sites around town and around the region.  Some weeks will include conservation projects and opportunities for Navigators to develop their skills at implementing the scientific process.
