The CiCo Park Improvements are anticipated to include reconstruction of baseball/ softball fields with synthetic turf and 12 new tennis courts at CiCo Park. The CiCo Park Improvements Advisory Committee Responsibilities and Commitments expected are listed below.
*The Committee will give input during the concept and schematic design phase of the project. The Committee will receive periodic updates from the City and consultant team. Committee members will also receive special invitations to all relevant City Commission meetings and consultant-led public input sessions during the planning and design process.
*The Committee will provide a recommendation to City Administration, the consultant, and ultimately the City Commission on the final schematic design layouts, features, and amenities to include in the project.
*The Committee members should expect 4 – 5 meetings from October 2023 through May 2024 followed by a formal recommendation to the City Commission.
The application deadline for this committee was September 4, 2023. The Mayor and City Commission are reviewing submitted applications and will be appointing approximately 15 members to the ad-hoc committee at a future City Commission meeting.
