(Manhattan, Kan., January 18, 2018) — At 7:15 pm on January 18, 2018, the Manhattan Fire Department was dispatched to 400 Knoxberry Drive for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, crews found a one story residential structure with light smoke showing. Firefighters quickly located and extinguished a small fire in a bedroom within 10 minutes.
The occupants of the home were not home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Loss is estimated at $10,000 to contents and $10,000 to the structure. The owner is listed as Jeffrey Jr. and Abby Willard of Manhattan, Ks. The fire cause is under investigation at this time.
