(Manhattan, KS - January 22, 2019) Attention travelers: Manhattan Regional Airport is closed due to cancelled flights and winter weather conditions.
Earlier today airport staff began treating surfaces but ice continued to accumulate. As weather turned to a snow/ice mix visibility was significantly reduced. The airline subsequently cancelled flights (weather was poor in Chicago as well); therefore, the airport was closed.
Airport staff will be back to work early tomorrow morning to treat and clear snow and ice. The airport will reopen prior to the next scheduled flight, the exact time will be dependent upon conditions tomorrow. Please continue to check with the airline for any flight changes, updates, and schedule.
