Background
Since January 2021, the City of Manhattan has been going through a strategic planning process to guide decision making, growth, and community investment. The City has never created a strategic plan focused solely on responsibilities and initiatives of our City government. The aim of the plan is to help prioritize City services, programs, projects, and future investments as we continue striving to be a great place to live for all Manhattan residents. Two rounds of public engagement occurred in March/April and May of 2021, with nearly two thousand participants and over 24,000 pieces of public input received that helped develop the plan's framework, goals, and actions.
Review & comment on the draft strategic plan
A draft of the City's first-ever strategic plan is available for viewing and comment through October 17th. We want to hear your feedback! After you've had a chance to review the plan document, there is a forum space for the public to provide comment on the project website.

Help prioritize the action agenda of the plan
The draft plan has five key goal areas with 46 total actions within the plan. The city's strategic plan has a five-year focus, and we understand many action will take time and/or resources to start and complete, and we can't do them all at once. A survey has been included on the project website through October 17th to help us prioritize critical actions of the plan.

Thank you
The City of Manhattan would like to provide a special thank you to all members of the public that have participated throughout this process and provided invaluable feedback that guided the development of this strategic plan.
