Should the nominated structure or site be listed in the Manhattan Register of Historic Places, the Manhattan Historic Resources Board (HRB) may create design guidelines for the site. Guidelines will be used when the HRB reviews the appropriateness of a project requiring a Certificate of Appropriateness. These design guidelines would be considered in addition to the Criteria for Review identified in Sec. 26-9G-2 of the Manhattan Development Code.
As an applicant, you may propose site design guidelines for The Manhattan Historic Resources Board’s consideration.
Identify types of acceptable interior alterations and any conditions that must be met prior to approval of a proposed interior alteration.
Identify what guidelines may apply specifically to identified noncontributing resources on site.
