8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Furniture Amnesty Day is an annual event that allows local residents to donate furniture they no longer need so others can select from the donated goods for free. For more information, see our news release.
Volunteer
This event helps find new homes for hundreds of pieces of furniture. Volunteers are needed to help with several aspects of the event. Sign up with HandsOn Kansas State here.
Request Furniture Pickup
Volunteers are available to pick up furniture donations at the curb for anyone living within Manhattan city limits. Volunteers only will pick up a maximum of five (5) furniture items per location. All items for donation pickup need to be at the curb by 7 a.m. Friday, July 29. Volunteers will not enter homes to pick up donated furniture.
Pickups must be scheduled by 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 27.
If you were unable to sign up, you can drop off your donations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Baker Field parking lot in City Park on July 29.
Sign Up to Pick Out New-to-You Furniture
Sign up will begin at 8 a.m. at City Park on the day of the event. You will be able to choose a time slot between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to pick out your furniture. No additional paperwork is needed. Assignments to pick furniture will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Any furniture left after 4 p.m. is open to the general public.
Please note: Volunteers can help load furniture into vehicles but participants will need to arrange their own method of transport.
