The purpose of the Airport Advisory Board is to recommend policies regarding Manhattan Regional Airport to the City Commission.

The purpose of the Flint Hills Discovery Center Advisory Board is to support the mission of the Flint Hills Discovery Center (FHDC), and make reports and recommendations to the governing body on all matters referred to the operation of the FHDC. Due to precautions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic this meeting with be help at the City Commission room and broadcast live. Board members will participate in person or virtual. Public comment during the meeting will not be permitted, per Resolution No. 080420-A passed by the City Commission. Written public comment on agenda items may be submitted to Susan Adams, prior to the meeting at adams@cityofmhk.com or 785-587-2741. Public comment must be submitted by 5:00 pm on April 11, 2021. The meeting will be broadcast live for public viewing on Cox Channel 3 and streamed online at cityofmhk.com/tv and a recording will be made available on the website after the meeting. The purpose of the Special Alcohol Funds Advisory Committee is to solicit proposals for the use of the funds in the City’s Special Alcohol Fund. The Committee evaluates the proposals to ensure conformance to community objectives and helps to secure the coordination of the programs and services dealing with the abuse of alcohol and drugs that may now or in the future be provided by existing or new public, nonprofit and private agencies. Also, the Committee evaluates the quality of the programs provided through the assistance of these funds.
