Why can't more than 3 parking permits be issued per residence?
Based on City Ordinance, parking permits are sold only to residents of the restricted area. Residents are limited to two regular parking permits and one guest permit per dwelling unit and cost $5 each. Year, make and license plate number of the vehicle is also required.

How can I pay my utility bill?
Bills may be paid through the following methods:
Mail to P.O. Box 309, Manhattan, KS 66505
Automatic Bank Draft
Online by credit card
By cash, check or credit card at the Customer Service office
At dropboxes at both Manhattan Dillons supermarkets and at City Hall

Do I have to have a pet license for my dog or cat?
Yes, within 30 days after turning 6 months of age, dogs and cats must be
licensed
and vaccinated in Manhattan.
4.
How can I qualify for taxi coupons?
To qualify for the program, residents must be at least 62 years old, or disabled and older than 16, and have an annual income less than $14,000. Applicants are asked to complete a form certifying their age and income. Also, if a person is applying due to a disability, a statement from a physician is required. Finally, all applicants must be residents of the City of Manhattan to participate in the program.

How much are taxi coupons?
Individual coupons can be purchased for $2.50 or a book of 10 coupons for $25. Each coupon entitles the owner to a one-way trip anywhere within the Manhattan city limits.

How old does my pet have to be before it is required to be licensed?
Pets must be at least 4 months old.
7.
Why can't I purchase a dog license past the expiration date of their rabies vaccine?
Based on City Ordinance, a pet license can only be issued through the rabies vaccination expiration date.
8.
I am coordinating a road race. Who do I contact?
Applications for parades and races are available from our Customer Service Department by calling 785-587-2489.
9.
I am having a neighborhood block party. Do I need a permit?
Yes. Applications are available at the Customer Service Desk at City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Ave. Find applications and requirements
